Jubileuszowe wydanie kultowej płyty „Monster” R.E.M. . Krążek oryginalnie ukazał się we wrześniu 1994, w momencie, kiedy grupa świętowała mainstreamowy sukces za sprawą „Out of Time” (1991) i „Automatic For The People” (1992).
Przy promocji „Monster”, R.E.M. wróciło do koncertowania oraz do rockowych korzeni. Płyta spotkała się z entuzjastycznym odbiorem zarówno ze strony fanów, jak i krytyki. Wydawnictwo promowały single „What’s The Frequency, Kenneth?”, „Crush with Eyeliner”, „Bang and Blame” oraz „Strange Currencies”.

Wersja deluxe została zremasterowana przez Grega Calbiego. Poza oryginalnym albumem, box zawiera specjalny remiks wykonany przez Scotta Litta, niewydane wcześniej wersje demo i zapis koncertu z 1995 roku z Chicago. Wydanie Blu-ray to także 90-minutowy film „Road Movie” dokumentujący trasę promującą „Monster” oraz sześć teledysków promujących krążek. W książeczce znajduje się tekst autorstwa Matthew Perpetuy oraz archiwalne fotografie. Za okładkę odpowiada wieloletni współpracownik R.E.M. Chris Bilheimer.
