Kultowy album Marvina Gaye’a (2.04.1939 Waszyngton † 1.04.1984 Los Angeles)„What’s Going On”, z okazji 50-lecia tytułowego singla promującego wydawnictwo, trafił do serwisów cyfrowych w rozbudowanej wersji.
Książę soulu z wytwórni Motown, Marvin Gaye, był topowym artystą od niemal dekady, gdy w 1971 roku odniósł jeszcze bardziej spektakularny sukces za sprawą albumu „What’s Going On”. Kultowe wydawnictwo było pierwszym albumem Marvina Gaye’a, które trafiło do pierwszej dziesiątki Billboard’s Top LP i szybko stało się najlepiej sprzedającym się albumem wydanym przez Motown. Do dziś krążek uważany jest za jeden z najlepszych wszech czasów – trafił m.in. na szczyt zestawienia „The 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time” sporządzonym przez dziennikarzy „Rolling Stone” w 2020 roku.
